The Davie County Register of Deeds office, under the leadership of Register of Deeds Kelly Funderburk, continues to raise the bar in providing accessible, efficient services for residents.
Since taking office, Funderburk and her team have focused on delivering high-quality service while expanding the ways residents can utilize the office—particularly through online offerings that eliminate the need to visit in person.
In the latest effort to improve accessibility, the office has launched a new online service that allows residents to file an Assumed Business Name form remotely through the office’s website.
To take advantage of this service, users can visit the office website at www.daviecountync.gov/98/ROD. Under the Information section, click the link labeled Assumed Business Name to begin electronically recording the form. The standard recording fee of $26 applies whether filing in person or online, though the remote filing option includes an additional $15 fee for the third-party service provider.
“This is one more step toward making government more accessible,” said Funderburk. “We’re committed to helping residents save time and manage their needs from the comfort of their home or business.”
While the remote option offers flexibility, individuals still have the option to file Assumed Business Name forms the traditional way by visiting the Register of Deeds office at 123 S. Main St. in Mocksville.
This is part of a broader initiative by Funderburk and her staff to improve digital access to public records and services. A wide range of services is already available online at www.daviencrod.org, including:
• searching property records (1837–present) for free;
