From woodcarving to watercolor: Davie seniors show off talents

Davie County SilverArts held its second annual art show on Thursday, April 24 at the Davie County Public Library.
This show featured the 2025 entries into the Heritage and Visual Arts. The art show was floating from 3-6 p.m. All first place winners are on display for the community to see until May 22 at the library on North Main Street in Mocksville. Judges were Mistie Cockman, Melissa Rollins and Jean Harpe.

General Fiber Arts: 1st: Julie Cartner.

During the Art Show, the community was invited to vote for their favorite piece to be awarded “Best of Show.” The winner this year was Donald Chamberlain’s Sculpture, “Ready for a Walk,” which is on display as well.
