Two arrested for larceny from Mocksville home

Two people were arrested in a Bermuda Run hotel, accused of breaking into a Mocksville home about a week earlier.
John Michael Kennedy, 44, and Melissa Maria Holloway, 37, both of East Lexington Road in Mocksville, were arrested in a room at the Hampton Inn on Jan. 2.
On Dec. 26, Davie Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Polaris Drive where it was reported the home was broken into, ransancked, and money and numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen.
Sheriff’s detectives, N.C. Probation/Parole officers, and SBI agents served arrest and search warrants on the two, reported Sheriff J.D. Hartman.
Kennedy was charged with three counts of forgery of endorsement, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, possession of firearm by a Felon, three counts of identity theft, obtaining property by false pretense, and three counts of attempt to obtain property by false pretense. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $55,000 bond.
Holloway was on probation at the time of her arrest being electronically monitored (ankle monitor), Hartman said. Hollway was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and was taken into custody without privilege of bond.
“This case is still being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Davie County Sheriff’s Office and numerous additional charges are pendingm” Hartman said.
