If you’re driving through the streets of Mocksville, slow down.

Town board members agreed to request the state department of transportation to lower the  speed limit on all streets bfrom 35 mph to 25 mph, unless otherwise posted.

They also requested that the speed limit on all of North Main Street be 35 mph. Parts of North Main are now 45 mph.

They had been studying streets and traffic for months after getting complaints about speeders on residential streets.
