All-district softball team
Six Davie softball players were named to the all-district team by the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association. They were Jadyn Davis, Addie Brown, Carleigh Croom, Delaney Parsons, Raelyn Lankford and Riley Potts, who won District Pitcher of the Year.
Davie baseball camp July 14-15
Davie will hold its annual baseball camp July 14-15 from 10 a.m.-noon. The cost is $65. For more information, contact coach Joey Anderson at 336-596-3252.
Whisenhunt makes Futures Game
Carson Whisenhunt, a Triple-A pitcher in the San Francisco organization, will participate in the All-Star Futures Game in Atlanta on July 12. The Futures Game is MLB’s annual showcase of the sport’s best prospective big leaguers.
