Franklin man arrested here

A Franklin man was arrested Monday after speeding through a Mocksville stoplight.
Demarcus Michael Lane, 31, was charged with driving with a revoked license, carrying a concealed weapon, operating vehicle with fictitious registration, speeding, no insurance, and failure to stop at a red light. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $2,500 bond. He is scheduled to face the charges Feb. 21 in Davie District Court.
Davie Sheriff J.D. Hartman said deputies witnessed the suspect speeding, and driving through the stoplight. In the vehicle, they found a handgun and fictitious paper license plates.
