Kate Sakai turned in the best performance in her three-year Davie golf career at Wilshire on Sept. 11. The junior shot 9-over 45 to tie for ninth place in the Central Piedmont Conference meet.

She played the last seven holes at 4-over while recording three pars. Her previous best was a 47 at Salem Glen Country Club on Aug. 29.

“She was really happy,” coach Bob Donley said.

Callie Wisecarver had 51 as Davie tied for fourth as a team. The team scores: Reagan 112, West Forsyth 124, Mt. Tabor 143, Davie 149, Reynolds 149.
