Josephine C. Dalton is the “birthday queen.”

At least she was on April 9, when friends and family celebrated her 90th birthday at her home.

Known as Mama, Grandma or Aunt Joe, she is the mother of eight children – Jimmy, Terry, Teresa, Cassandra (deceased), Curtis, Cynthia, Anthony )deceased) and Jermaine. She raised two granddaughters – Regina and Shevone – after the loss of her daughter Cassandra.

Mrs. Dalton has more than 110 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was born on April 9, 1932 and is the widow of her late husband of 60 years, Hubert Matthew Dalton, who died in 2010.
