William Edwin ‘Bill’ Morrison Jr.

William Edwin “Bill” Morrison Jr., 72, of Cooleemee died at Forsyth Medical Center Thursday, July 6, 2017.
He was born in Iredell County on Sept. 11, 1944, the son of the late William Edwin Morrison Sr. and Blanche Morrison. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Morrison.
Survivors: his wife of 36 years, Priscilla Ann Hursey Morrison; 3 daughters, Robin Pittman of Texas, Tammy Torrence of Mocksville and Clare Morrison of Raleigh; a son, Jody Torrence (Stacey) of Kernersville; 7 grandchildren, Jesse, Tyler, Austin, Kaitlin, Victor, Matthew and Chelsie; a great-grandchild; and a sister.
He was a graduate of Scott High School in Statesville and Mitchell Community College. He earned a degree in nursing and worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salisbury. He attended Victory Baptist Church and was associated with the Christian Motorcycle Association.
The family was to receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 12 at Victory Baptist Church. A memorial service was to follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Shelby Harbour officiating.
