A Kernersville man was arrested Sunday morning after he lost control of his pickup truck and it hit the side of Snook’s BBQ.
No one was inside the building, said owner Rita Reavis. “I’m just glad no one was hurt.”
Horatio Devon Fair was driving the truck on US 158 and attempted a left turn onto Juney Beauchamp Road at 7:44 at an estimated 35 mph, reported N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper K.L. Leonard. The truck went off the road to the right, came back across Juney Beaucham Road and hit the corner of the building.
Volunteer firefighters put up plywood on the side of the building, on US 158 at Juney Beauchamp Road, to protect it from further damage. The vehicle crashed into the part of the building where people place orders for food.
