Frances Isaac ‘Frankie’ Spencer

Frances Isaac “Frankie” Spencer, 72, died on March 3, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1944 in Mocksville to Rebecca Cody Isaac and the late Green Isaac Jr. She attended Davie County Public Schools and Kate Bitting School of Nursing, and worked as a nurse for 50 years. She shared her knowledge with many employers because most of the time, she was working two jobs. She worked for Kate Bitting Hospital, Forsyth Hospital, Western Electric as an industrial nurse, Care One Health Care, Dr. Collins, Industries for the Blind and Lorillard. After finishing nursing school, she lived in Winston-Salem, but never forgot home. She visited Mocksville almost every Sunday. She loved bowling and traveled to many states to bowl. She also loved reading and watching sports.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Spencer Jr.
Survivors: 2 brothers, Lewis (Hazel) Isaac of Asheville and Bruce (Edith) Isaac of Mocksville; 3 sisters, Eleanor Brown of Mocksville, Alice Isaac of Winston-Salem and Rachel (Roland) Wade of Winston-Salem; 5 nieces; 3 nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Graham Funeral Home in Mocksville. The funeral will follow at 1:30. Pastor Fred Terry waill officiate, with burial in
Mocksville Second Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
