Annie Ruth Luper Howard

Mrs. Annie Ruth Luper Howard, 85, of Fork-Bixby Road, Advance, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born May 5, 1931, in Davie County to the late Lindsey Jonathan and Clara Mae Carter Luper. Mrs. Luper was a lifelong member of Fork Baptist Church and was retired from Western Electric.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edna L. Shelton; and a brother, Melvin J. Luper.
Survivors: her husband, George Alvin Howard of the home; 2 sons, Scott Alan Howard (Melissa) of Manhattan Beach, Calif. and Timothy Shea Howard (Vivien) of Greensboro; 2 granddaughters, Zoe and Sophia; a brother, Frank Potchie Luper of Advance; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 at Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
