Eugene Myers Dyson

Eugene Myers Dyson, 75, of Mocksville died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice Home in Salisbury.
Mr. Dyson was a native of Davie County, born Nov. 3, 1941, the son of the late Clyde and Maudie Myers Dyson. He was a graduate of Davie County High School went on to serve his country for two years in the US Army. He retired as a supervisor with Celanese Corporation and attended South River United Methodist Church.
Survivors: his wife of more than 52 years, Jane Lyerly Dyson; a daughter, Joanna Dyson Cottrell and husband Ross of Maine; 2 grandchildren, Ian and Evan Cottrell; and a nephew, Chris Dyson.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, R.C. Dyson.
A celebration of life memorial aervice was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at South River United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Randy Powell and Tim Kelty. Inurnment with military honors followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends following the service at the church.
