Homer Anderson Felts

Mr. Homer Anderson Felts, 82, of Ivy Lane, Mocksville, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
He was born Sept. 19, 1934 in Surry County to the late Roy and Ethel Webb Felts. Mr. Felts was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Mocksville where he enjoyed working on projects. Mr. Felts loved going fishing at the coast, yard work, gardening, woodworking and listening to country music but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his wife and family.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren Felts; and a sister, Ruth Reece.
Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Lois Driver Felts of the home; a son, Keith Felts (Tina); a daughter, Kim Felts Ross (Joe), all of Mocksville; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Felts Kieffer (Ellis), Jessie Felts, Dylan Vogler, Kaylan Vogler and Chase Ross; a brother, Charles Felts (Bobbie) of Mocksville; and a sister, Mary Felts Columbine of Winston-Salem.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chad Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Army National Guard. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at the funeral home.
