Free bookbags filled with school supplies will be given to children at the annual Back 2 School Empowerment Day from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Davie High School on Salisbury Road  in Mocksville.

As part of the “Get Ready, Get Set, Succeed!” effort by the Keys of Faith Outreach Mission of New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in Mocksville, the Back 2 School mission is “to advance and advocate the common good for all Davie County students; to provide a platform to communicate information that will empower, inspire, motivate and equip students to succeed in the upcoming school year.”

Parents can register their children (who must be present to receive a bookbag) at the door, or in advance at www.kofom.org.
