To the editor:
As the Davie County Arts Council celebrates 50 incredible years of bringing the arts to our community, we invite you to help shape the future of creative programming in Davie County. Your input is important.
We’ve launched a short community survey to gather ideas and feedback on the types of performances, classes, exhibits, and events you’d like to see. As a special thank you, everyone who completes the survey will receive a surprise gift while supplies last.
Take the survey online at: https://forms.gle/nQEZUdudzUQ68ttc7. It can also be found on the Davie County Arts Council’s Facebook page.
Our celebration begins with two exciting, first-time musical performances at The Brock Performing Arts Center. First up, join us for a special pop-up concert featuring Off the Rails on Saturday, June 28, presented in partnership with The Swicegood Group. Expect a high-energy evening of bluegrass and fun.
Then, on Saturday, Sept. 13, we welcome The Dryes, a rising country music duo recognized by Country Living Magazine as “the new hot country duo to watch.” Don’t miss their debut performance at the Brock. It promises to be a memorable evening of incredible music.
We’re also excited to present two juried art exhibitions this fall:
• Palette & Perspective for 2D visual art Sept. 5-Oct. 17; and
• Captured & Constructed for photography and 3D art Oct. 20-Jan. 2.
Both exhibitions will feature original works by talented North Carolina artists from across the state. If you’re an artist interested in participating, the full call for artists details are available on our Davie County Arts Council Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/DavieCountyArtsCouncil.
Thank you for being part of our creative community. With your continued support and input, we look forward to an even more vibrant and inspiring future in the arts.
