A Hamptonville man was arrested here Sept. 29 after Davie sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on the stolen car he was driving.

And in plain view on the front seat was a loaded syringe for illegal drug use, said Chief Deputy Brian Jacobs. He didn’t have a valid driver’s license, either.

It was just before midnight when officers made the stop. The Honda Civil had been reported stolen out of Yadkin County.

Arkeizio Deandre Jeshawn Gary, 23, was charged with felony possession of a vehicle, driving while license revoked, felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $7,500 bond, pending an Oct. 10 first-appearance hearing in Davie District Court.
