Breakfast is Saturday, Aug. 17 at Wesley Chapel United Methodiist Church from 6:30-10 a.m. The menu is country ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, grits, red-eye gravy, sawmill gravy, homemade biscuits, baked apples, jelly, orange juice and coffee.  Donations are appreciated. Wesley Chapel is three miles west of Farmington just off of NC 801 N. on Pino Road.

Wesley Chapel sends sympathy to the family of Samuel McDaniel. We want Deana McDaniel and her family, who live in West Virginia, and Deana’s mother, Cindy West King and family of Advance, to know we are so sorry for their loss. Everyone says that Samuel was such a good man, and that is also shown by the fact that he had done what was necessary to donate his organs after his death.  That has happened and someone received a new heart.  Deana has started a Go Fund MNe to help with expenses.

Olive Cujas of Cana returned from a mission trip to Atlanta, Ga.  with the Hillsdale United Methodiist Youth Group.  They saw some of the sites in Atlanta.  Oliver liked the Aquarium best.

The Cujas family which included Al, Susan, and Oliver from Cana, Amy and Ryan Applegate from Charlotte, Missy and David Michalski of Lewisville and David Michalski’s father from Mocksville went whitewater rafting in Tennessee last week.

The pastor of Wesley Chapel and Union United Methodist Church is teaching a Bible Study on the book of Luke at 6 p.m. on Thursday nights.  People from four churches are attending, and they would love to have you join.  They have only had one session so you can easily catch up with the group.
