New faces on Cooleemee, Bermuda Run boards

New office holders were elected in Cooleemee and Bermuda Run on Tuesday, while in Mocksville, incumbents ran unopposed.
Jeff Smith was easily elected mayor in Cooleemee, getting 119 votes compared to 9 for incumbent Jessica Almond.
New Cooleemee commissioners will be Sandra Ferrell and Sheighla Tippett, with 120 and 95 votes. Incumbents Chris Fleming and Jeannie Taylor were voted out with 30 and 6 votes.
In Bermuda Run, now council members are Rae Nelson with 331 votes and Jeff Tedder with 329 votes. Marty Wilson and Rod Guthrie garnered 158 and 151 votes.
Mocksville incumbents were reelected, with Mayor Will Marklin with 135 votes and board members Rob Taylor with 129 votes and Justin Draughn with 124 votes.
