Two people filed for office in Bermuda Run as filing opened for all three Davie towns.

Mike Brannon is seeking the office of mayor, and Rod Guthrie filed to be a member of the Bermuda Run Town Council.

The offices of Mayor Rick Cross and council members Heather Coleman and Curtis Capps are up for election.

In Mocksville, Mayor Will Marklin and commissioners Justin Draughn and Rob Taylor are up for re-election; as are Mayor Jessica Almond and commissioners Jeannie Taylor and Christopher Fleming in Cooleemee.

Filing ends at noon on Friday, July 21. The fee is $5 and filing is at the Davie Board of Elections office at 161 Poplar St. (parking in back of Brock complex.).
