Donald Marvin Twitty, 61, of Mocksville, NC departed this world on March 23, 2023, from his home in Davie County.

Donald was born on March 5, 1962, in Portsmouth, Va., son of the late Gilbert Weldon Twitty and Carsie Elizabeth (Dale) Bakken.

In life, Donald graduated from Portsmith schools.  Later, he chose a career in the construction industry where he worked as a carpenter for many years. Donald truly loved working with his hands and because of that his favorite things were carpentry, fishing, and traveling

Donald leaves behind to treasure his memory: 2 brothers, Dwayne Twitty and Darrell Twitty; 2 sisters, Carisa Riles and Christine Twitty; a nephew, Haden Riles; his life partner, Janet Lynne Carter; and a host of cousins.
