It’s a scam.

The Davie County Sheriff’s Office has reported that several people have been receiving calls from a person claiming to be a deputy (Lt .Ryan Moxley) with the Davie County Sheriff’s office. They tell those called they missed court and will be arrested or they can take care of it by sending money.

“At no time will the Davie County Sheriff’s Office call you and ask for money for a fine or for missing a court date,” said Chief Deputy Brian Jacobs. “They have spammed the Sheriff’s Office (telephone) number so that when it shows up, it is the actual phone number of our office.”
