Mary Ruth Forrest Essic, 66, wife of James E. “Chip” Essic Jr. of Essic Road, Davie County,  died  surrounded by her family at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, after a long struggle with cancer.
