COVID numbers still increasing

Davie’s COVID numbers continue to increase, with 350 positive cases reported by Davie Health & Human Services on Sept. 13.
That is up from 294 reported on Sept. 3. Five more Davie residents with COVID died during that same reporting period.
Of the current 350 active cases, 11 are being treated in a hospital, and: 40 are age 65 and older, 60 age 50-64; 105 age 25-49; 39 age 18-24; and 106 age 17 or younger.
A total of 48 percent of Davie residents are fully vaccinated against the virus, the health department reports. Some 51 percent have received at least one dose of a vaccine.
