Mrs. Della Teresa Johnson Dille, 58, of Mocksville, died Monday, April 12, 2021, at her home.
She was born Oct. 8, 1962, in Minnesota. Friends and family called her by her native name, Pony. She was a healer, a loving mother of two, and a devoted wife. Mrs. Dille enjoyed crafts including crocheting, jewelry making, painting, and drawing. She was an animal enthusiast, working throughout her life to rescue horses, dogs, cats, along with animals brought to her. Her love for all life was only surpassed by her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Roger Johnson; Rebecca Jean Butler Simar; a son, Willie Glenn Woodard III; and brothers, Raymond Scott Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
Survivors: her husband, Alan Dille; her daughter, Rebecca Woodard; stepson, Gregory Dille; granddaughter, Amilya Ijames; her sisters, Mindy Roberts, Lisa Johnson Monroe, and Vicki Johnson; her brothers, Shane Simar, and Larry Johnson; and uncle, Lewis Cornelius.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 17 at Lambert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery. At the request of the family, be mindful of social distancing and wear face covering. To provide the community an opportunity to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dille, there will be a live webcast of her service on the Lambert Funeral Home website as well as by visiting https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/52109.
The family invites friends to come by Lambert Funeral Home, Mocksville, Friday, April 16, from 9 a.m-6 p.m., to pay respects. Due to Covid, there will not be a formal receiving line.
