5 arrested in Legion Hut Rd. raids

Illegal drugs were found at two residences after a suspect attempted to flee from Davie County Sheriff’s Department officers on July 2.
Oscar Lynn Young fled from officers trying to arrest him on outstanding warrants, according to Sheriff J.D. Hartman. A subsequent search of two residences on Legion Hut Road led to the arrest of four others.
Officers seized methamphetamine, ammunition, unidentified powders, scales, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and prescription narcotics.
• Felicia Potter, 29, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Matthew Garner, 39, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Frances Tyson, 58, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Jonathon Sanford, 31, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin.
• Young, 47, was arrested later, charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davie Social Services is assisting as children were at one of the residences.
Hartman said that additional charges and arrests are expected.
