Johnny Robert Riddle, 74, of Advance died on June 13, 2019 at his home.

He was born April 19, 1945 in Cumberland County, a son to the late Rev. John Riddle and Marie Owens Riddle. He was self-employed as a residential and commercial painter. He was also a member of the Yadkin Valley Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by an uncle, James Owens.

Survivors: his uncle, David Owens (Sheila) of Mocksville; and aunts, Jane O. Smith (Vensal) of Mocksville and Alvia Owens of Advance.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville, with visitation 30 minutes prior. Burial will follow at the Yadkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Advance. Pastors Tim Dunn and David Owens will officiate.
