Classical guitarist Aaron Prillaman will perform a spring concert at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 at the Davie County Public Library, 371 N. Main St., Mocskville.
The concert will feature works for the solo guitar and guitar-piano duo. He will be joined by his father, Glen Prillaman, for a few pieces.
The free concert will include a repertoire from various musical periods, including music written by J.S. Bach, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, John Dowland, Leo Brouwer, Mauro Giuliani and Manuel Ponce.
Prillaman earned a doctorate in guitar performance and performs regularly around the region. “The classical guitar is a soothing and unique instrument that includes fresh and exciting newer repertoire, but can also convey a more traditional classical language,” he said.
