VFW Post 1119 hotdog, hamburger, cheeseburger sale, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at post home, NC 801, Cooleemee. Special: two hotdogs, chips and soda, $5. Proceeds go to local veterans and organizations.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Breakfast, Mocks Methodist, Mocks Church/Beauchamp roads, Advance, 6:30-10 a.m. Pork tenderloin, country ham, eggs, grits, sausage gravy, biscuits, beverages.

Community breakfast, Farmington Methodist, 1939 Farmington Rd., Mocksville, 7-10 a.m. Pork tenderloin, sausage and sausage gravy, eggs, grits, stewed apples, biscuits, mixed fruit, breakfast casserole, coffee, OJ. Items for sale including some made from reclaimed wood from Bennett and Ellis country store.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

Pre-Valentines meal, Mocksville First Methodist, 5:30 p.m., N. Main St., sponsored by Deep Roots Gardens. Baked spaghetti, chicken alfredo, salads, desserts.
