George Mitchell ‘Mickey’ Boger Sr.

Mr. George Mitchell “Mickey” Boger Sr. 76, of Mocksville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 201, at his home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late John Paul and Lillie Mae Johnson Boger.  Mr. Boger was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church on Rainbow Road.   He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco in Winston-Salem.

Survivors: his wife, Dorothy Faye Trivette Boger of the home; 6 children, Donna Hunt (Vernon) of Creedmor, Wendy Chaplin (Scott Jamie) of Advance, Jerri West (Bobby), Lillie Kissinger (Clarence), Kelly Jones (Eric) and Mickey Boger,Jr. (Nita), all of Mocksville; 3 sisters, Carolyn Marshall of High Point, Faye Lynch of Mocksville and Gail Boles of Lewisville; a brother, Edward Boger (Elizabeth) of Mocksville; 11 grandchildren, Ronnie, Samantha, Jonathan, Elliot, Corbin, Logan, Linda, Kristen, Will, Jodi and Levi; 9 great-grandchildren; and best friend, Buddy Hauser.

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Advance with the Revs. Wayne Swisher and Josh Boles officiating. Burial followed in Shiloh Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lewisville. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
