Rachel Boger Cartner

Mrs. Rachel Boger Cartner, 82, formerly of Needmore Road, Woodleaf, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 at Mocksville Senior Living.

She was born June 1, 1936,in Davie County to the late William Glenn and Georgia Forrest Boger. Mrs. Cartner was a member of Corinth Church of Christ in Woodleaf.  She had been educated in Davie County Schools and was a graduate of Davie County High School and Jones Business College in High Point. Mrs. Cartner had retired from Cotton-Smith & Carter Furniture Co. She enjoyed doing yard work, canning and making baskets.

She was also preceded in death by: a sister, Beulah Foster; and 2 brothers, Robert Boger and Rayford Boger.

Survivors: her husband of 64 years, Bobby Ray Cartner of the home; a daughter, Sherri Agner (Steve) of Chapel Hill; a sister, Glenna Curry of Thomasville; 3 grandchildren, Daniel and Laurel Cohen and Christy Agner; and a great-grandson, Jackson Isaac Cohen.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with R.D. McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Church of Christ Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
