Joann Groce Campbell

Joann Groce Campbell, 70, of Yadkinville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born in Yadkin County on Jan. 16, 1948, the daughter of the late Miller Wilson Groce and Leona Wishon Groce. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Groce.

She worked many years at Baker Furniture in Mocksville until the plant closed after which she retired. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors: 2 sons, Scottie Ted Campbell Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va., and Tony Campbell of Yadkinville; a daughter, Lola Massoglia of Charleston, S.C.; 2 sisters, Lorena Boggs and Della Miller, both of Yadkinville; and 6 grandchildren: Brianna Campbell, Alyssa Hitt, Tabatha Campbell, Samantha Campbell, Cosmo Massoglia and Luciana Massoglia.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Davie Funeral Chapel in Mocksville officiated by the Rev. Mark Doby. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends following the service.
