Davie High band opens Dewey’s store

- Mocksville Mayor Will Marklin makes the first purchase from volunteers Renee Carter and Rindy Comer at the Davie High War Eagle Band Booster Dewey’s Bakery store.
The Dewey’s Bakery Holiday Store is open at 1423-B Yadkinvillle Road in front of Lowe’s Home Improvement in Mocksville.
The store is operated by the Davie High War Eagle Band Boosters and is the largest fundraiser held by the band each year. The store offers a variety of Dewey’s favorites including sugar cake, cheese straws, ginger and sugar cookies, shortbread cookies and more, including gift packs.
This year, fresh products such as cake squares, butter rolls, Lovefeast buns, brownies, cookies, pastries and pies will be available for order.
The store will be open seven days a week through Dec. 24.
