Peggy Suz Yoder Cunningham

Mrs. Peggy Suz Yoder Cunningham, 91, of Eatons Church Road, Mocksville, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born December 4, 1925, in Hidalgo County, Texas to the late Clarence B. and Beulah Pauline Stahly Yoder. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Clemmons. She enjoyed hiking, backpacking, needlework and senior yoga at the Davie County Senior Center. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the Sierra Club and Piedmont Walking Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and adored her great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Ross Cunningham.

Survivors: a daughter, Lucinda Marie Meeker; 3 sons, William Clarence Cunningham (Linda), Darryl Scott Cunningham (Cindy Sue), David Ross Cunningham; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Joan Church.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with Bishop John Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Eatons Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends  from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4 at the funeral home.
