Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Lois Alene Brown Myers went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 16, 2025.
She was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on April 11,1930 to the late George Marion Brown and Thelma New Brown.
She is predeceased by: her dearest husband, Harry Lee Myers; and 4 four sisters, Mary Lou, Bette, Jean, and Marion.
After high school graduation in Forest City, NC, Lois attended Appalachian State Teachers College and graduated from Wake Forest Baptist Nursing School with a Bachelor of Science degree. It was at ASU that Lois met the love of her life, Harry. They married in 1952 and enjoyed sweet love and friendship for over 68 years.
Lois leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family, friends, and faith in her Lord. She enjoyed life to the fullest! In her early years she took pride in her nursing profession. She was also an amazing homemaker and key business partner to Harry, a home builder, using her skills in bookkeeping, interior design, and real estate. She enjoyed using her gifts of hospitality and helping others, volunteering for Meals on Wheels for many years. Her greatest joys were traveling with Harry, entertaining friends with her fabulous cooking, and finding treasures while antiquing. Even though the weeds drove her crazy, she loved her vegetable and flower gardens and generously shared the bounty with all.
Lois dearly loved her family. She is survived by: her son, Harry (Hank) Lee Myers Jr. (Sharon); her daughter, Anne Myers Wagner (Ric); and cherished grandchildren, Nathan Lee Myers (Stephanie), Carly Myers Littell (Ryan), Paige Marie Myers, Claire Alene Myers, Jesse Watson (Elizabeth), Jenna Watson Snider (Christian); and 6 great-grandchildren, Parker and Camden Myers, Raegan and Grayson Littell, Emma Kate and Henry Watson; and by many nieces and nephews. They all take great comfort in knowing that Grandmother is now walking in the beautiful gardens of Heaven where there are no more weeds.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday Aug. 1, at Hayworth-Miller in Advance at 4:30-5:15 p.m. with visitation to follow at 5:15-6:30 p.m.
The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the staff at Trinity Elms in Clemmons, Physicians Eldercare, the Trellis staff, and caregiver Robert Pettyjohn for their care of Lois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Samaritan Ministries, 414 E. Northwest Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
Condolences may be shared online in the Hayworth-Miller guestbook at hayworth-miller.com.
