It’s Vacation Bible School time for local churches.
Clarksbury Methodist Church will host Vacation Bible School Friday, July 11-Sunday, July 13. Children will be encouraged to look closely at God’s amazing world and proclaim His greatness and faithfulness to keep His promises to us. Our community endured temps in the mid-to-high 90s last week. Be sure to sray hydrated and check on elderly neighbors when such high temps exist.
We are proud of our young folks and their achievements in educattionl and encourage them to always do their best. As photos show, we recognize these students and wish them well in their future endeavors: Claire Brown, Aaron Coone, Sadie Lewis, Bailey Rogers, Emma Sharpe, Bray Trivette, Jayce Whitaker, Julie Whitaker, and Jacsyn Winstead.
Vacation Bible School with theme “Trusting Jesus in a Wild World” will be Friday, Aug. 1-Sunday, Aug. 3 at Salem Methodist Church.
Our community sends congratulations to Jim and Jonell Gaither Lewis upon their 70th wedding anniversary Wednesday, July 2. Today they enjoy senior day trips and events at Clarksbury Methodist and enjoy time with children and families.
We send happy birthday wishes to former County Liner Paul Brendle; who was a longtime coach at Cool Spring High School and then, upon school consolidation, at North Iredell High School. Coach Brendle is 99 Thursday, July 10. Coach, all of us in County Line wish you a healthy and successful new year of life.
Romaro Scott remains at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Join us in prayer for the Lord’s divine healing and blessings upon Romaro and other residents who are having health issues.
Remember in prayer the families of Robert Fred Foster and Franklin “Frankie” Steele. Fred died Sunday of last week at Rosewood Assisted Living of Harmony and was the husband of the late Jeanette Smoot Foster and brother of the late Frances Gaither, both of County Line. Frankie had many relatives in County Line and was found unexpectedly dead at his home last Friday by his brother Billy Steele.
