Robert Louis Frost, age 86, of Mocksville, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 28, 2025, with his family at his side.
Mr. Frost, the son of the late Arthur William Frost Sr. and Mabel Hudson Frost, was born on Jan. 9, 1939 in Davie County.
Mr. Frost graduated from Dunbar High School in East Spencer. He enlisted in the U.S. Army serving 4 years which included a tour in Vietnam. Mr. Frost married the love of his life, Barbara J. Crawford, in 1965 and they shared three sons. He worked several years at Cannon Mills after his military service ended and retired from Ingersoll-Rand with 25 years of service as a machinist. Mr. Frost was an avid hunter and fisherman spending many hours trekking through the woods or sitting on the banks of High Rock Lake. He taught his sons the joy of hunting and fishing as well.
Mr. Frost also enjoyed golfing with his brothers and sisters. Mr. Frost was an old car enthusiast and could spend hours talking about cars. If you had a question about a car, he always had an answer. In recent years, he spent most Saturdays in “meetings” with his sons passing on his words of wisdom.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Frost was preceded in death by: his wife of 34 years, Barbara Frost; a son Andre Frost; and brothers Ralph Frost, Ronald Frost, Jake Frost, Arthur Frost Jr., George Frost, Douglas Frost, and Donald Frost.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted sons, Kenny Frost (Veronica) and Tracy Frost (Tammy); his grandchildren, Travis Revels, Ray Frost (Noralis), Linee Mello-Frost, Nicole Eubank, Brittany Orea (Tino), Kris Frost (Jery), and Austin Tilley (Tara); his great-grandchildren, Davon and DaKarea Jones-Keith, Angelina, Kenneth and Andre Frost. Enoch and Soul Euban.; Kayson Ribeiro.Navy Lynn and Atlas Tilley. and Michael Cotton; a brother, Larry Frost; sisters, Lucille Conway, Patricia Frost, Glenda Hunter, Beverly Grier, Valerie Stephens (Carlos), and Annette Roman (Bobby); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 8, at 12:30 at Rowan Funeral ServiceChapel. Family Visitation: 12:00. Burial follows in Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
