Barbara Ann Shore Groce

Mrs. Barbara Ann Shore Groce, 73, of Wyo Road, Mocksville, died Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born on Oct. 17, 1951 in Surry County to the late Jessie James and Oma Mae Lyon Shore.
Mrs. Groce attended Wyo Bible Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, making flower arrangements, and cooking. She loved visiting the beach and the mountains, and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Molly. Barbara was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Gary Thomas Groce; a sister, Deborah Shore; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Williams.
Survivors include: her 3 children, Bradley Hall Groce, Chadwick Grubbs, and Kristy Renee Groce; 2 grandchildren, Carter Thomas Groce and Rue Nicole Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Wyo Bible Methodist Church in Yadkinville, with Pastor Jeff Moody officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Private inurnment will take place in the church cemetery.
