Bingo at the Sheffield-Calahaln Community Center Friday night was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who came for food and bingo and for those who helped. The next bingo is Friday, Aug. 15.
Hotdog Saturday at New Union is this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be a bake sale. The church is at County Line and Sheffield Roads.
Vacation Bible School is scheduled at New Union for July 27-30.
Youth Summer Great Escape at Ijames Baptistfor 6th-12th grade will meet Sunday evenings at 5 this summer.
Harmony Public Library happenings: Each Tuesday at 11 a.m., kids age 6-11 are invited to the weekly Summer Reading fun; each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., there will be a fun storytime session for toddlers and preschoolers; and each Thursday at 4 p.m. there will be a weekly teen programs. On June 30 at 11 a.m. meet the turtle sniffing dogs at Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center. On July 2, explore the colorful world of fruits & veggies with the Cooperative Extension with “Eat the Rainbow.” Call 704-546-7086.
