All three towns in Davie County will elect some members of their councils in November.
Filing for those offices starts at 8 a.m. Monday, July 7 and ends Friday, July 18 at noon. All potential candidates should file at the Davie Board of Elections office off Poplar Street (back entrance to Brock Center) in Mocksville.
In Bermuda Run, council seats held by Michael Ernst, Christina Schafer and Rod Guthrie (He was appointed to fill the resignation of Melinda Szegila) are up for election.
Commission seats in Cooleemee held by Christopher Almond and Andrew Reavis are up for election.
Mocksville commission seats held by Johnny Frye, Carl Lambert and Jenny Stevenson are up for election.
