Davie County Senior Games and SilverArts came to a close May 22 after the Senior Games Closing Ceremony and SilverArts Follies.
When participants entered, they received information about participating at the state level if they have been a winner this season and several were picked to participate in the Piedmont Senior Champions Tour events in August.
The SilverArts Follies featured performances by the Bermuda Village Line Dancing Leprechauns and the Boogie Brigade. These performances are available to be viewed on the Senior Services Facebook page.
Following performances, the end of season video was shown for the first time. This video can be found on the senior services YouTube page.
The Boogie Brigade and the Bermuda Village Line Dancing Leprechauns received first place in their categories, and the Boogie Brigade received the coveted “Best of Show” award and are invited to perform at the NC State Finals SilverArts Follies.
The first place Visual and Heritage Arts were also on display, and the ribbons were given to the Literary Arts pieces. The literary arts pieces are judged with names removed so there is no biased judging.
