The Davie County Community Response Task Force – a component of Davie County Health and Human Services, Davie County Sheriff’s Office and Davie EMS – will present “Behind the Journey – Recovery 2.0,” a continuation of the community’s united efforts to fight substance abuse and promote healing.
This event will take place on Friday, June 13 at Davie County High School, and all members of the community are encouraged to attend.
“This event is free and open to everyone. No tickets. No cost. Just real conversations, real resources, and a real commitment to hope and healing,” said organizer, Summer Scardino.
Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with resident testimonies and program updates from 1-2 p.m. A resource fair will be from 2-3 p.m.
“This year is all about moving forward, taking what we’ve learned, honoring every journey, and doubling down on hope, healing, and recovery,” Scardino said.
Following the main program, attendees will have the opportunity to connect one-on-one with a wide range of local organizations, service providers, and community partners offering direct access to: recovery services; mental health support; housing and employment resources; family-focused programs and more.
“Whether you’re just starting your journey, supporting a loved one, or looking to connect more deeply with your community, Behind the Journey – Recovery 2.0 is a space for everyone.”
