10 arrested, drugs seized in ‘Operation Missed A Spot’

Ten people were arrested in Operation Missed A Spot, carried out April 29 by the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, Davie Probation and Parole and K9 units from the NC Department of Adult Corection.
“This is a significant step in our continued effort to reduce the distribution of dangerous drugs in our community,” said Sheriff J.D. Hartman. “We are proud to work closely with our state partners to hold offenders accountable and remove these dangerous drugs from our streets. This is our ongoing effort to continue providing a safe community.”
More charges are expected, he said.
Officers confiscated fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
• Jackie Lee Bledsoe III, 36, of US 601 N., Mocksville, was charged with Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Use/Keep Controlled Substances, Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Opium, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession Schedule II, possession with intent to sell Methamphetamine, 3 counts of possession with intent to sell Schedule II, possession with intent to sell Schedule III, Simple Possess Schedule II, Simple Possess Schedule III, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bledsoe was taken into custody in lieu of a $200,000 bond. Subsequently, Bledsoe was served with a Post Release Violation and received a No Bond Warrant; a hearing date with the Post Release Commission will be scheduled.
• Byron Jones, 27, of Leisure Lane, Mocksville, was charged with Possession of Firearm by Felon. Jones was issued a $10,000 Ubond. Jones was also charged with Felony and Misdemeanor Probation Violations with a court date of May 22.
• Robin Elyse Taylor Goodin, 33, of Livengood Road, Mocksville, was charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. Goodin was issued a $500 bond, andwas cited with Felony Probation Violation and is due in Yadkin County Court on July 23.
• Travis Ray Hedrick, 46, of Duke Whittaker Road, Mocksville, was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hedrick was issued a $2,000 bond, and was served with a Misdemeanor Probation Violation, resulting in an additional $7,500 bond.
• Misty Nicole Smith, female, 25, of Fairfield Road, Mocksville, was served with a Felony Absconding Probation Violation. Smith was given a $12,500 bond.
• Kera Michelle Smith, 23, of Davie County, was charged with Felony Possession Schedule II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. Smith was issued a $5,000 bond, and was served with a Felony Absconding Probation Violation resulting in an additional $28,500 bond. Thereafter, Smith was charged with Assault on a Government Official/Employee resulting in an additional $3,500 bond.
• Barron Lee Thompson, 53, of Davie Academy Road, Mocksville, was charged with a Post-Release Violation. Thompson received a No Bond Warrant; a hearing date with the Post-Release Commission will be scheduled.
• Pamela Robbins Evans, 47, of Hobson Drive, Mocksville, was charged with Felony Probation Violation, resulting in a $10,000 bond.
• Michael Ray Jones, 34, Davie County, was charged with Misdemeanor Absconding Probation Violations. Jones was given a $15,000 bond.
• Cedric Herman Jones Jr., 31, of Camden Point Court, Mocksville, was served with a Felony Absconding Probation Violation. Jones Jr. was given a $15,000 bond.
