Mrs. Sue Browder Folmar, 86, of Baltimore Road, Advance, died Easter Sunday April 20, 2025 at her home.
She was born on March 27, 1939 in Davie County to the late Benjamin Thomas and Jessie Smith Browder.
Sue was a talented organ and piano player for many years and played at Advance United Methodist Church and Clemmons United Methodist Church. She was a great caretaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and very supportive of her family. She had a servant’s heart and loved Jesus above all else.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, David Paul Folmar Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Richard Seamon.
Survivors include: her 3 children, David Paul Folmar Jr. (Sarah) of Brown Summit, John Andrew Folmar (Keri) of Dubai, and Linda Folmar Plitt (Will) of Advance; 12 grandchildren, Bailey Beatty (Josh), David Paul Folmar III, Alexandra Brown (Marshall), Abigail Plitt (Michael), Paige Folmar, Ruth Folmar, Chloe Folmar, Braxton Richmond Folmar, Charles Plitt III (Brooke), Andrew Folmar, Wesley Folmar, and Anna Folmar; 2 great-grandchildren, Piper Abigail Brown and Rafe Joseph Rauen, and another on the way; a sister, Ann Seamon; a brother, Ben Browder (Ann); and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at Advance United Methodist Church with Rev. John Folmar officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Salisbury National Cemetery.
