Jane Sanders was born on April 9, 1940 in Advance, NC, to Walter and Jennie Cornatzer.
Jane graduated from Davie County High School in 1958 and went to work at P.H. Hanes Knitting Co., where she met the love of her life, Loyd Sanders. Loyd joined the U.S. Air Force and was first stationed in Texas, where Jane joined him to begin his career as a service member. They had two children, Sherri and Beverly. The family accompanied Loyd when he was stationed in California and Japan before the family moved back to Texas in 1974, where Jane stayed home to raise the girls and keep house. Loyd and Jane were married for 24 years. She later retired from Dillard’s department store after 17 years. Upon her retirement, she became very active in the church.
Jane was best known for being a compassionate person and proud of her loving girls. She never met a stranger, and enjoyed visits from her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved watching baseball and football and dressing up even if there was nowhere to go. She always had an immaculate house and was fond of pretty flowers, plants, and little dogs.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lake Lodge Nursing Home for their care and kindness that was given to Jane during her stay there.
The service for Jane Sanders was held Friday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
