Spencer Williams, a sophomore for North Carolina’s track & field team, finished fourth in the shot put in the ACC indoor championships. He threw a personal-best 59-1.5 and made second team all-ACC.

The only throwers who topped Williams were Clemson senior Courtney Lawrence (62-5), Wake Forest junior Thomas Kitchell (62-1) and Notre Dame senior Michael Shoaf (62).
