The following cases were disposed of during the Oct. 9 session of Davie Superior Court. Presiding: Judge John Morris. Prosecuting: Rob Taylor, Marissa Parker and Alan Martin, assistant DAs.
– Kemond Deshawn Bethea, 2 counts statutory sex offense with a child 15 years old or younger, dismissed; second degree kidnapping, sentenced to 25 to 90 months, suspended 24 months, 40 hours community service, permanent no contact order with victim, enroll in sex offender control program, submit DNA sample, cost, $1,945 attorney fee.
– Justin Clanton Bracken, felony probation violation, probation revoked, 129 days jail credit.
– Christopher B. Burgess, felony probation violation, probation continued 12 months.
– Brentley James Carlton, possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, dismissed.
– Dakota Ray Ferguson, vehicle seizure hearing, order granting forfeiture of vehicle granted.
– Amanda Leigh Harris, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, dismissed; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, sentenced to time served, evidence ordered destroyed, $481.25 attorney fee.
– John Kevin Keller, discharging a weapon into occupied dwelling/moving vehicle, sentenced to 51 to 74 months, 278 days jail credit, have no contact with victim and do not be on property of victim, evidence ordered destroyed, $1,480.65 restitution to victim, cost; assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, dismissed.
– Christopher Anthony Lane, felony probation violation, probation revoked, $107.50 attorney fee.
– Craig Michael Longworth, felony fleeing to elude arrest with vehicle, reduced to misdemeanor fleeing to elude arrest with vehicle, sentenced to 120 days, suspended 24 months, 40 hours community service, CBI program, enroll in driving school, cost.
– Tammary C. Mallette, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, reduced to possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, sentenced to 6 to 17 months, suspended 24 months, 40 hours community service, 5 day split sentence/credit, obtain substance abuse assessment, submit DNA sample, $790 attorney fee; selling a schedule II controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, dismissed.
– Mercedes Gabriellia Moses, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, reduced to possession of methamphetamine, sentenced to 6-17 months, suspended 24 months, 56-day split sentence/credit, submit DNA sample, obtain substance abuse assessment, $773.75 attorney fee; possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, dismissed.
– Cassie Ann Riese, crime against nature, dismissed, in compliance.
– Alfred Smith, 3 counts probation violation, defendant to be held in custody until in DART program.
– Brittany Marie Williams, felony probation violation, 3-day split sentence, probation terminated upon completion, $302.50 attorney fee.
