Six members of the Advance Garden Club had a perfect fall morning to remove summer plantings and replace them with violas in the Healing Garden at Novant Clemmons Medical Center.
Consolidated Landscaping delivered trays of Volas in mixed colors and two bags of potting soil purchased by the Advance Garden Club for the fall planting. Violas are commonly called “Johnny Jump Ups” and are cold hardy plants to last until the spring planting.
Club members Karen Barnum, Cheryl Gray, Angela Hodges, Sharon Murphy, Carol O’Keefe, and Diane Poindexter helped with the project. These women came prepared with planting tools, gloves, water, kneeling pads, etc. and were finished in an hour and 20 minutes.
