Seth Jones of Mocksville was among 133 students awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.

Jones graduated with honors and was the co-valedictorian. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa for exceptional academics.

Jones earned the National Board of Examiners in Optometry Part I and Part II awards, with a $1,000, for having the highest score on each part of the NBEO exam. He earned the Southwest Council of Optometry Endowed Scholarship, which comes with a $1,000 for demonstrating excellence in clinical achievements and a commitment of service to the profession and the community at large.

Jones is the son of Melanie and Brad Jones and a graduate of Davie High and Wake Forest University.
