To the editor:

We Senior citizens are everywhere: discount stores, grocery stores, local pharmacies.

We walk unsteady, we use canes, walkers of all kinds, and at time some assistance is unavailable.

My observance is that young people are eager to assist us. By offering us a hand, re-directing our walkers, or even re-directing us when needed.

Experience has taught me to be kind and accept their offers of kindness. Their smiling faces and “ma’am, may I assist you” is always welcome.

Senior Citizens, don’t forget to say “Thank You.”
